A long-time family favorite, the recipe for this salad dressing has been memorized by everyone in our house. For our family, we sometimes add green olives and omit the salt for a bit of a twist on this favorite. Often served with marinated chicken or tofu, this salad makes a wonderful summer evening meal when served with Stone Cottage Cellars Chardonnay.
- 1 head romaine lettuce (or 3 romaine hearts)
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 3 Tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 cloves garlic
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground mustard
- 1/4 tsp pepper
Wash and rip lettuce into a large bowl.
Combine remaining ingredients in a small bowl or measuring cup. Whisk well to combine. Pour over lettuce and toss well to coat. Garnish with fresh parmesan cheese if desired.
This salad can be served with chicken, marinated baked tofu, or fresh croutons. Pair with Stone Cottage Cellars Chardonnay.
