Wine in the Kitchen
While the wine world is enthralled with 100 point scores, gold medals, and expert recommendations, wine is first and foremost a complement to good food. Our family enjoys wine with most of our evening meals. Some evenings we test a possible blend from the cellar against one of our favorite dishes. Other evenings find us finishing a half bottle left from the tasting bar with a new, often locally-sourced, dish we have been eager to try.
It has been said that, “Drinking good wine with good food in good company is one of life’s most civilized pleasures.” While we encourage you to explore the world of food and wine companionship on your own, we offer some combinations that our family has certainly found delicious.
